Permethrin Cetrimide Lotion

Permethrin + Cetrimide is a combination of two medicines, Permethrin and Cetrimide. It comes from the brand PERSYNC LOTION. Its composition is Permethrin 5%W/V+Cetrimide 0.1%W/V Lotion. It works by killing microorganisms that cause scabies. It is effective in paralyzing and killing lice and their eggs. Permethrin belongs to a class of drugs known as pyrethrins. It works by paralyzing and killing the mites and their eggs. CETRIMIDE contains Cetrimide, it has antiseptic, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal properties. It works by preventing microbe growth and hence treats the infection. Symptoms of scabies include an intense itching that usually gets worse at bedtime. 

It is evident to see small, delicate, wavy lines on the skin with a tiny insect at the end(a burrow). Burrows are usually found on finger/toe webs, wrists, elbows, armpits, belt lines, lower buttocks, female nipples, or male genitals. If Permethrin kills all scabies, dead mites can still make your skin itch for up to 4 weeks even after the treatment. You can consult your doctor for medication, to soothe itching. Please tell your doctor if your condition lasts longer or continues after 2 weeks.

Directions of use

• This medicine should be used on the skin only. 
• Apply for this medicine as soon as possible, in the affected area. 
• Apply for this medicine from the head to the soles of your feet including under your nails and in skin folds between the toes, and massage the cream into the skin as directed by the physician.
• Do not use more medication than prescribed. 
• Wash off the cream after 8-14 hours. Avoid getting the cream into your eyes, nose, mouth, or vagina. 
• If the medication gets in your eyes, wash the eyes with plenty of water. Consult your doctor if the irritation persists. 
• Do not swallow it or touch your nose and eyes after using PERSYNC LOTION. Keep it away from the reach of children.
