LACTULOSE CONCENTRATE USP 10GM

Lactulose belongs to the group of chemicals known as anti-inflammatory drugs used to treat acne. Lactulose syrup is also used to cure hepatic encephalopathy. Constipation refers to irregular bowel movements with frequent loose, painful, and hard stools. Hepatitis encephalopathy is a liver disease in which toxins accumulate in the blood which are normally cleared by the liver.

Lactulose extracts ‘lactulose’ which works by secreting water from the body and intestines. This loosens the dirt and makes it easier to walk through. On the other hand, it also decreases the level of ammonia in the blood of liver disease sufferers which draws ammonia from the blood to the colon, thereby facilitating the detoxification of the body.

How does Lactulose Work?

Lactulose works by absorbing water into the intestines by osmosis, making stools softer and easier to handle. Take at least 2 hours after taking any other medication, as it can interfere with the absorption of other medications. It should be taken at bedtime as it takes 6 to 8 hours to show effects.
