Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose Ophthalmic Solution Ip 1% Eye Drops is used for the treatment of dry eyes. This medication is basically a lubricant and it works the same as natural tears and provides temporary relief from burning and discomfort due to dryness of the eyes. The eye drops should be taken as per the doctor’s prescription and their dosage and duration are totally based on your doctor’s recommendation. It is for external use only.
The time and duration of this medication depend upon your medical condition and you should complete the full course of the treatment as recommended by your doctor. Some people might experience some common side effects like Eye irritation, Eye itching, and Eye pain, however, these symptoms are not to be worried about as they get resolved on their own with time and don’t require any special medicine for their treatment.
