Description

Azithromycin suspension is a macrolide antibacterial medication indicated for the treatment of patients with mild to moderate infections caused by susceptible strains of the designated microorganisms in specific conditions like Skin infections (such as acne and rosacea), ear infections, and sexually transmitted infections (such as pneumonia, bronchitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, and sinusitis). A bacterial infection occurs when bacteria grow in the body and cause infection.

Azithromycin Suspension inhibits the growth of harmful bacteria and kills them by preventing the production of proteins required for survival. A viral infection, such as the flu or a common cold, is not treated by Azithromycin suspension.

Uses of Azithromycin Suspension

This Suspension is used to treat Bacterial Infections. By stopping the production of proteins needed for the bacterium’s existence,

  • Azithromycin Suspension prevents the development of harmful bacterias and even occasionally causes their death.
  • It fights against and treats bacterial infections including sinus and throat infections, chest infections (such as bronchitis and pneumonia), infections of the mouth and teeth, infections of the eyes, infections of the skin and tissues (such as acne), and infections of the stomach and intestines.
  • Compared to other comparable antibiotics like erythromycin, it is better tolerated and has a greater ability to penetrate tissue.
