Tofacitinib Tablets: Tofacitinib is used to treat rheumatoid arthritis (an autoimmune disease that causes joint pain and damage), psoriatic arthritis (an inflammatory condition of the joints), and ulcerative colitis (an inflammatory disease of the large intestine).

Tofacitinib’s active ingredient is Tofacitinib, a Janus kinase enzyme blocker, which reduces inflammation and symptoms associated with rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis.

Not every individual who is on Tofacitinib will experience these side effects. For some people, these may be common side effects like diarrhea, headache, upper respiratory tract infection, cold, nausea, and vomiting. Precautions:

• Tofacitinib may lower your ability to fight infection. If you experience any of the following symptoms, call your doctor immediately: fever, chills, cough, or muscle aches.
• Before you begin taking this medicine, your doctor may want you to have a TB (tuberculosis) skin test and a chest X-ray.
• Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.
